President Nguyễn Minh Triết calls for social resources to boost education
VNGOP – Almost 300 foreign and domestic enterprises and individuals were honored for their contribution of over 900 billion VND (56.25 million USD) and over 1.5 million square meters of land to educational programs in the country since 1990.

Speaking at the June 5 awards ceremony, President Nguyễn Minh Triết hailed businesses and donors for their contributions to education.
Mentioning the educational development strategy to 2010 and the following years, the head of State confirmed that the Party and State will continue to invest in education and training by improving teaching and studying facilities and increasing quality of education.
The President encouraged the Ministry of Education and Training to take more measures to engage the whole society into raising resources for education. The Ministry should suggest the Government to set up policies, broaden international relations, and encourage organizations and individuals to contribute to the educational development, said President Nguyễn Minh Triết.
According to Education and Training Minister Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, under the permission by the PM, the award ceremony will be organized every two years to honor businesses and donors for their contributions to the cause of educational development.
