Policies take effect in March

VGP – Each of imported used automobiles must be examined for quality, technical safety and environmental protection since March 1, according to the Circular No. 03/2018/TT-BGTVT issued by the Ministry of Transport on January 10, 2018.

This is one of the new policies scheduled to come into effect in March.

For new cars, inspection agency will randomly select one model. If the vehicle is qualified, the inspection agency will issue a certificate of quality for the batch.

Overseas cash withdrawals

The State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) issued Circular No. 26/2017/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No.19/2016/TT-NHNN dated June 30, 2016 stipulating bank card operations.

Under the Circular, a Vietnamese national aged between 15 and 18 shall be allowed to use debit card, credit card, and prepaid card.

Regarding overseas cash withdrawals, a cardholder shall withdraw a maximum amount of foreign currency equipvalent to VND 30 million per day.

The Circular will take effect on March 3, 2018.

Levels of promotion for mobile communication services

The Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular No. 47/2017 / TT-BTTTT dated December 29, 2017 stipulating the levels of promotion for mobile communication services on the ground.

Under the Circular, which comes into effect since March 1, 2018, the maximum promotion levels for prepaid and postpaid subscribers shall be 20% and 50%, respectively./.
