VNGOVNet – On the proposal of the Ministry of Health (MoH), on behalf of the PM, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng gave his direction on the implementation of the Framework Convention on Cigarette Control (FCCC) on December 12.

December 13, 2006 8:54 AM GMT+7

The Deputy PM ordered the MoH to collaborate with the Ministry of Industry and other agencies concerned in checking and comparing the commitments to realize the FCCC, those made by the Vietnamese Government when joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other related international commitments in order to  devise and complete the Plan for Realizing the FCCC and submit it to the PM in the second quarter of 2007.

As its assignment under the Government’s Working Program 2006, the MoH was requested to promptly submit the Draft Prime Ministerial Direction on preventing and dealing with cigarette’s harms.
