Petrol prices experiences sharp cut

VGP – The Viet Nam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) reduced retail prices for a number of fuel types since 16:00, January 21.

Retail price of RON 95 petrol, the most commonly used fuel in Viet Nam, was slashed by VND1,900 down to VND16,270 per litre.

The reduction brought the price of A92 petrol down to VND15,670 per litre from the previous VND17,570 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel prices were reduced by VND1,460, resulting in a cost between VND15,120 and VND15,170 per litre.

Now, kerosene stands at VND15,610, a reduction of VND1,500, while fuel oil (FO) is priced at VND11,750 to VND 12,220 per litre, VND1,080 lower than the previous price.

This was the second cut in retail petrol prices since the beginning of 2015. Earlier on January 6, the retail price saw the year’s first cut, slashed by VND310 per litre.

Petrolimex also announced that the retail gasoline prices fell to a four-year low following the global downward trend./.
