Peru recognizes VN’s market economy
VNGOP – Receiving Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyễn Văn Tích on December 3 in Lima, President of the Republic of Peru Alan Garcia Perez stated that he always had a great admiration to Việt Nam. On the occasion, the President announced that Peru officially recognized Việt Nam a market economy.

Ambassador Nguyễn Văn Tích confirmed the Vietnamese Government and people’s aspiration to develop the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Peru, especially in economy and trade.
At the meetings with the Vietnamese Ambassador, leaders of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of External Commerce and Tourism, businesses, and members of the APEC Business Advisory Council and the Lima Commerce Chamber all expressed their desire to exchange with Việt Nam experience on economic development and dealing with social issues as well as cement the multifaceted cooperation in the bilateral framework and on international forums. Peru also wants to learn Việt Nam’s experience to organize successfully the APEC Leaders’ Meeting 2008.
