Permanent Deputy PM starts Chinese tour

The visit  from September 11-13 is made at the invitation of the Chinese Government.

Viet Nam-China ties have been maintained and developed positively. Exchanges of delegations at all levels by the two sides have been promoted.

During the previous visits to China, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (January, 2017); State President Tran Dai Quang (May, 2017), and PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc (September, 2016) and their Chinese counterparts reached important awareness of promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a stable and sound manner.

The two countries successfully hosted the 10th meeting of the Viet Nam-China Steering Committee on Bilateral Cooperation this April.

The 14th China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China–ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) will be held from September 12–15 in Nanning city, the capital city of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

This year’s CAEXPO will have the theme of "Jointly Building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Promoting Regional Economic Integration with Tourism."

CAEXPO has well served as a bridge boosting economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN. China remained ASEAN’s largest trade partner with total bilateral trade turnover reaching US$ 452.2 billion in 2016 and US$ 195.6 billion in the first five months of 2017.

The annual event is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors and feature 80 trade networking activities./.
