The PM also entrusted the MT to act as the major implementer, in collaboration with the ministries of Planning and Investment and Finance, in seeking for feasible capital for the Project and submitting it to the PM for consideration and decision.

The Project to build passages for high-tonnage ships in the Hậu River requires a capital of VND 3,148.7 billion. Its investor is the Management Board of Waterway Projects under the MT. When the Project is finished, vessels with the tonnage ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 tons can easily enter and exit all seaports in the Hậu River.
