Party leader receives outgoing Chinese ambassador

VGP – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly valued contributions made by Chinese Ambassador to Viet Nam Hong Xiaoyong to the Viet Nam-China relations in recent years, especially in expanding contacts and exchanges between sectors, localities and people of the two countries.

The Party chief made the statement while hosting a reception for the outgoing diplomat in Ha Noi on February 8.

Delivering positive assessments about the growing ties between the two Parties and nations at present, Party General Secretary Trong called on both sides to effectively implement the agreements reached by the two countries.

He asked the Ambassador to continue contributing to the development of the Viet Nam-China traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

For his part, Hong Xiaoyong thanked the leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, ministries, sectors and localities for their great support during his working tenure in Viet Nam.

The Ambassador expressed his profound impression on Viet Nam’s significant achievements across spheres, as well as his delight at the fruitful development of the ties between the two Parties and States.

The diplomat affirmed China’s joint efforts with Viet Nam in strengthening political trust, facilitating practical cooperation in all fields, expanding people-to-people exchange, and reinforcing friendship for the benefits of the two countries’ people./.
