Party leader receives Chinese State Councilor, FM

VGP – The Vietnamese Party and State attach importance to the friendship relations with China, asking the two sides to strengthen cooperation and mutual support for further development in the upcoming time.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made that statement at his reception for Chinese State Councilor and FM Wang Yi on April 2 in Ha Noi. 

He expected that the Chinese FM will contribute to making Viet Nam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership more effective and intensive.

He proposed the two sides strictly adhere to the common perceptions reached by their high-raking leaders and the agreement on the basic principles guiding the settlement of issues at sea between Viet Nam and China as well as controlling disputes and preventing any activity to complicate the situation and joining hands to maintain peace and stability in the East Sea. 

Mr. Wang Yi congratulated Viet Nam on the successful organization of the sixth Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS-6) Summit. 

The Chinese Party, State and people attach importance to the relationship with Viet Nam, asserted Mr. Wang Yi, expressing his hope to enhance strategic dialogues, boost cooperation, control disputes at seas and maintain active development of the two Parties and nations’ relations.
