President Ram Nath Kovind and his spouse are making a State visit to Viet Nam from November 18 to 20 at the invitation of President Nguyen Phu Trong.

The visit is significant in continuing the efforts to cement and develop the growing comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and India.

This is the first visit to Viet Nam and also the first to an Asia country by President Ram Nath Kovind since he took office in July 2017.

Earlier, Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, his spouse and entourage paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and laid a wreath at the Memorials to martyrs.
