Party chief welcomes overseas Vietnamese

VGP – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received a delegation of overseas Vietnamese (OVs) who turned home to join the “Xuan Que huong 2018” (Homeland Spring 2018) program in Ha Noi on February 7.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Party General Secretary Trong extended his warm welcome and best wishes to OVs, lauding their contributions to the national development process as well as their efforts to promote solidarity among Vietnamese expats.

The Party leader reaffirmed that overseas Vietnamese community is an integral part of the Vietnamese nation.

He took the occasion to brief about the significant developments in the country in 2017 and major orientations for 2018.

Highly valuing the contributions of OVs and their deep sentiments for the homeland, Party leader Trong reiterated that the Party and the State will continue supporting and creating favorable conditions for OVs to integrate into host countries and make further contributions to the national development.

At the reception, OV representatives expressed their delight to meet with the Party chief and witness the national development in all fields./.
