Party chief receives Lao guest

VGP – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on May 3 in Hanoi received President of the Lao Women’s Union (LWU) Sisay Leudethmounsone who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

The Party leader asked the Vietnam and Laos Women’s Unions to uphold their tradition and effectively implement signed agreements especially within in the framework of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year 2012 deepening the special ties of friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Trong said that he is satisfied with the recent achievements made by the Lao Party, State, and people, hoping that Laos will reap greater success in its Renewal process.

For her part, the LWU President briefed the Party chief about the results of cooperation between the two women’s unions and expressed appreciation for Vietnam’s assistance to Laos./.
