Party chief Nguyễn Phú Trọng affirmed that Mr. Fidel Castro stands out as the symbol of a resilient revolutionary soldier who has fought for peace and freedom of not only Cuban people but also oppressed people in the world. Fidel is a great friend and comrade of Vietnamese people, Trong said.

General Secretary Trọng affirmed that the Party, State and people of Việt Nam will spare no effort to link hands with Cuba to cement and deepen their established solidarity, friendship as well as comprehensive cooperation.

Mr. Fidel Castro hailed the visit of the Vietnamese General Secretary and his speech at the Nico Lopez Party School.

Both the host and the guest underlined the necessity to teach the young generations on the revolutionary tradition, friendship and solidarity between the two countries. 

The Party chief and his entourage successfully wrapped up the visit and return home./.
