Mr. Trong congratulated the AIIB for its positive initiatives and operation in Viet Nam after one year of establishment. He suggested AIIB support Viet Nam in developing infrastructure which is one of the three pillars of strategic breakthroughs.

For his part, AIIB President Jin Liqun pledged to continue cooperating and working for Viet Nam’s economic growth. The President treasured Viet Nam's constructive contribution to the AIIB founding and operation in the country. He expressed an interest to develop infrastructure in Viet Nam via such projects on railway, road, metro, and seaport with a view to strengthening connectivity among ASEAN member states.

The same day, the Party chief hailed Sun Wah Group for a string of investment projects in Viet Nam while receiving its Chairman Jonathan Choi.

Viet Nam always enables and creates favorable ways for foreign investors to do business in Viet Nam, said Mr. Trong.

Chairman Jonathan Choi revealed that he always regarded Viet Nam as his second homeland and wanted to boost cooperative ties with Viet Nam.

The Chairman briefed the Party leader about Sun Wah’s successful operation in Viet Nam in aquaculture and coffee production, real estate, finance, cultural cooperation, and community charity.

He also hoped to receive more support from the Vietnamese competent agencies to expand footholds in Viet Nam in advantageous fields like seaport building, metro, and walking tunnels./.
