Party chief Trong made the above statement on Wednesday at the closing ceremony of the 6th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee (PCC).

The PCC’s recent decision to remove Nguyen Xuan Anh from the Committee and dismiss him from the position as the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee for serious violations was a strict one aimed at general education and warning, he said.

This is also a general lesson for all of us, the Party leader stressed while uring each of the PCC members, all Party members and civil servants to avoid committing to violations.

Disciplining cadres, including senior ones over the past time has been widely supported by the public as it is a right decision that has gained popularity. If something done against people’s wish, trust will be lost and we will lose all, according to Party General Secretary Trong.

He also called on the two new members of the PCC Secretariat, namely Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the CPVCC Commission for Internal Affairs and Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Academy of Politics and Chairman of the CPVCC Theoretical Council to make ceaseless efforts to well perform their assigned tasks and contribute significantly to the Party’s leadership./.
