Party, State leaders pay tribute to heroic martyrs

VGP – A delegation of the Party, State, National Assembly (NA) and Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee on July 27 paid tribute at the Monument for Heroic Martyrs and laid wreath at President Ho Chi Minh mausoleum in Ha Noi on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The delegation included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Party General Secretaries Le Kha Phieu and Nong Duc Manh, State President Tran Dai Quang, former State President Tran Duc Luong, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former PM Nguyen Tan Dung, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former NA Chairman Nguyen Van An, and President of the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.

They commemorated heroic martyrs who bravely struggled and sacrificed their lives for the national liberation and reunification, the nation’s independence and freedom and people’s happiness.

The leaders then paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

The same day, delegations from the Ministries of National Defense and Public Security, the Government Office, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Ha Noi city also laid wreaths in memory of martyrs and President Ho Chi Minh.
