Party Central Committee's 5th plenum wrapped up
VNGOP – The 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam convened its 5th plenum from July 05-14, 2007 in Hà Nội.

During the plenum, the Party Central Committee heard reports and discussed projects on ideological and theoretical work, the media, the promotion of Party inspection and supervision work; renewing the Party's leadership over operations regarding the political system; accelerating administrative reforms, raising the effectiveness of the State system and the government structure in the term of the 12th National Assembly. The attendants of the meeting also made recommendations of leaders of State-owned agencies to the NA for election and approval and reviewed reports of the Political Bureau’s important works that have been solved since the 4th plenum of the Party Central Committee.
Addressing the close session, General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh emphasized, "This plenum made decisions on important issues. More importantly, however, we should promptly put the Central Committee's resolutions into reality." The Party chief asked all Central Committee members, Party committees at all echelons, every Party members and cadres to fruitfully bring the adopted resolutions into daily life, for the sake of successful renovation and international integration.
