PRSC 8 kicked start

VGP – The eight Poverty Reduction Support Credits (PRSC 8) was started today in Hà Nội in order to provide finance to disadvantaged areas.

PRSC is an effective instrument for the World Bank (WB) and donors to assist the countries succeeding in economic development poverty reduction.

The total fund of the Program is around US $200 million.

WB Acting Country Director to Việt Nam Martin Rama highly spoke of Việt Nam’s great efforts in popularizing renovations over the past time.

He confirmed that WB and other donors would actively support PRSC 8.

Deputy Governor of the State Bank Nguyễn Văn Bình asserted that the Vietnamese Government always attaches importance to poverty reduction and social security and will do its utmost to complete the Program on schedule.
