Austria is a crucial and reliable partner of Viet Nam, asserted Phuc, adding that the two sides need to further enhance trade, economic and investment ties.

Harald Mahrer said that the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber will open a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of his working visit to Viet Nam.

He highly valued support from the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other Vietnamese functional agencies, adding that as many as 50 Austrian enterprises joined the delegation to Viet Nam to seek for business and investment opportunities.

Exchanging with representatives of the Austrian businesses on issues of mutual concerns, especially in the context of the global trade competitiveness, PM Phuc highlighted investment opportunities in Viet Nam for Austrian enterprises in particular and EU ones in general.

He suggested Austrian firms seize the investment opportunities to pour more investment in Viet Nam's processing industry, e-commerce, garment, banking and insurance.

He expressed his hope that the debut of the representative office of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber will help boost the two sides’ economic ties in the upcoming time.
