Visiting the Port of Singapore, PM Phuc was briefed by the leaders of PSA International on the operation of the port as well as the company’s experience in managing and operating the port. The leader voiced his appreciation and impression on the port’s achievements, asking PSA to share its experience and cooperate with the Vietnamese side to develop ports in the country.

Later, PM Phuc paid a visit to Supply Chain City, invested by YCH Group. Supply Chain City, inaugurated in 2017 on an area of over 600,000 square meters, is seen as a small version of Silicon Valley, which offers logistic services and is an important supply chain of Singapore. Together with the port system, the Supply Chain city has helped Singapore to become a large logistics center of the world.

Executive Chairman of YCH Group Roberet Yap introduced PM Phuc and Vietnamese officials to the operations of the group as well as Supply Chain City. He said that the company has applied many modern technologies in its logistics services, specifically including the combination of the automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), a multi-tier storage structure, unmanned aerial vehicles, and advanced robots.

The Supply Chain City leader said the company has been running an affiliate in Viet Nam, but only operating warehouse services, thus voicing his wish to bring technological advances to Viet Nam to expand the company’s logistics operations.

He pledged to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese partners to boost cooperation with Supply Chain City to develop modern services in Viet Nam’s port system.

Highlighting the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Singapore, the PM called on YCH Group to collaborate with Vietnamese partners in developing logistics services, thus contributing to accelerating economic development.
