With an action slogan “Make in Viet Nam”, the forum will offer a platform for speakers to clarify the reality of applying and developing Vietnamese technologies to solve Viet Nam’s problems, as well as discussing the business problems that need technology solutions in the time to come. The success of some Vietnamese technology firms in helping organizations and companies renovate their products and services as well as their operational and governance models to bring about high efficiency will also be shared at the event.

Especially, delegates will discuss the reality and propose policy recommendations to develop Vietnamese technology, measures to connect technology businesses with organizations and enterprises operating in the different fields of the economy, and international experience in developing technology enterprises as well as in boosting socio-economic development based on the development of technology firms.

At the 2018 Viet Nam ICT Summit, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that the Fourth Industrial Revolution has opened a new era in the development process of humanity - the digital age, which is forecasted to have strong impacts on all activities of the Government and the whole society. This is a historic but challenging opportunity for the country’s reform and development cause, he stated.

Therefore, the presence of the PM in tomorrow’s forum affirmed the Government’s strong commitment to promoting the development of technology enterprises in Viet Nam in the fields of research & development and production of electronic hardware, software and digital content; technology startup; and investment in technology research and development, aiming to maximize Viet Nam’s competitive advantages in the era of the digital economy.

It also demonstrates the Government’s determination to realise the goal of applying and developing technology and building a community of 100,000 Vietnamese technology companies, contributing to producing breakthroughs for the Vietnamese economy and making Viet Nam a high-income country by 2045.
