PM to attend 7th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit

VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the seventh Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit scheduled to take place on September 9 via videoconference, at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Techo Hun Sen.

September 06, 2021 3:06 PM GMT+7

The GMS comprises Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

In 1992, with assistance from the Asian Development Bank, these six countries entered into a program of sub-regional economic cooperation, designed to enhance economic relations.

With support from ADB and other donors, the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Program supports the implementation of high-priority sub-regional projects in agriculture, energy, environment, health and human resource development, information and communication technology, tourism, transport, transport and trade facilitation, and urban development./.
