PM receives world leading CEOs

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc separately received the CEOs from Apple, AB Inbev, Procter & Gamble, Adidas, Facebook, Sanofi, Carlsberg on January 23 (local time) while participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2019 in Davos.

Meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, PM Phuc congratulated the group on its successful operation in Viet Nam and expressed his support for the building of an Apple database center in Viet Nam. The PM also hoped that Apple group would do effective, transparent, and long-term business in Viet Nam, serving as a bridge for American businesses to boost investment and business in Viet Nam. 

At the reception for AB Inbev Carlos Brito General Director Carlos Brito, PM Phuc praised the operation of the company in Viet Nam. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government has accelerated the economic restructuring process towards sustainable growth, favorable investment environment. The host leader suggested AB Inbev push the EU to early ratify the EVFTA in favor of business opportunities for respective businesses. 

The same day, PM met with Procter & Gamble President Mages-vanran Suranjan. He hailed business operation of the P&G Group in Viet Nam and proposed the group to expand business scale in Viet Nam. 

Meeting with Adidas Director Kasper Rorsted, the PM expressed his gratitude to the EU and EU businesses including Adidas for supporting Viet Nam in the negotiation process for the EVFTA. He was convinced that once coming into operation, the document would benefit respective citizens and enterprises. 

On the sidelines of the WEF Davos 2019, PM Phuc met with Belgium’s King Phillippe./.
