Mr. Prikhodko confirmed that Russia attaches importance to the strategic partnership with Vietnam. He was convinced that, with determination and common effort of leaders of the two countries as well as dynamic and close collaboration between Vietnamese and Russian ministries, sectors and enterprises, the two sides’ multifaceted cooperation for mutual benefit will be promoted in the future. The guest expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will assist Russian businesses to do investments in Vietnam.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said that Vietnam will thoroughly consider Russia’s proposals so that the two sides can set up and put common action plans into reality soon.

The Vietnamese Government leader highly praised Vietnam and the Russian Federation for maintaining and solidifying their strategic partnership based on sustainable and long-term cooperation for mutual benefit.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that, to expand and deepen the bilateral cooperation, it is necessary to boost and improve the performance of the Intergovernmental Committee functioning as supervisor and regulator of cooperative activities. The host also suggested the two sides to intensify their cooperation in investment, especially Russia’s direct investment in Vietnam in the fields of infrastructure, industry, gas and oil, energy and railway through preferential conditions on loan interest and modern technology. The Vietnamese PM asked the two countries’ businesses to further commercial promotion activities, including market survey, organizing trade forums, fairs and exhibitions in the other country.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng also requested Mr. Prikhodko to convey the Russian Government and President the deep concerns of the Vietnamese Government and people about the investigation and trial against the murders of Vietnamese student Vũ Anh Tuấn. He asked Russian law enforcement bodies to find out the criminals and give them due punishment.
