Phuc welcomed the visit of the Russian National Guard’s high-ranking delegation to Viet Nam, expressing his hope that the visit will make contributions to enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Russia in general and creating new forces in the relationship between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Russian National Guard in particular.

He was delighted with the outcomes of the talks between Zolotov Victor Vasilyevich and Vietnamese Minister of Public Security To Lam.

The two nations are organizing the Viet Nam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Viet Nam during 2019-2020 and launching a number of exchanges and activities to celebrate the 25thanniversary of signing of the treaty on fundamental principles of Viet Nam-Russia friendship and the 70th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties, said Phuc.

The economic and trade relations have not been developed to be commensurate with the two sides’ politics, defense and security ties, Phuc said, suggesting the two sides boost cooperation in all fields, adding that the Vietnamese Government always supports and tackles difficulties for Russian firms to launch operation in the country.

He wants the Russian Government and people to continue accelerating cooperation in all fields and boosting exchanges through all Party, government, parliament and local levels with a number of dialogue and cooperative mechanisms.

The host hoped that Russia backs Viet Nam’s standpoints on the East Sea issue, as well as Viet Nam’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2020.

The two sides need to share experiences, enhance cooperation in training and improve skills for law enforcement officials as well as join hands in transferring technology in producing and manufacturing vehicles and techniques serving for their public security forces.

Zolotov Victor Vasilyevich affirmed that the Russian National Guard is willing to promote cooperation and experience sharing with Viet Nam, including specialized technology.
