PM receives President of Italia- ASEAN Association
VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asserted to facilitate the organization of the third High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations in Ha Noi by 2019, expecting that the event will create an opportunity to tighten economic relations between Italia and ASEAN nations, including Viet Nam.

At the meeting, Mr. Enrico Lettacho said that the association is organizing meetings in preparation for the third High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations in Ha Noi by June, 2019, which is hoped to upgrade the two nations’ relationship as well as strengthen the bilateral relations between SEAN and Italia.
Viet Nam is the gateway to ASEAN and Italia is the gateway to the Europe, he said, adding that the association chose Ha Noi to organize the high-level dialogue before Viet Nam works as Chair of ASEAN by 2020.
Italia wishes to improve its impacts on Southeast Asia and Viet Nam plays a crucial role in the process, he confirmed.
He expected that the bilateral relationship will strongly grow in the time ahead, adding that Italia is taking the lead in backing and boosting the signing of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, related ministries and agencies, Ha Noi authorities are tasked to organize the third High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations successfully, he said.
The PM hoped that the bilateral trade value will thrive after the high-level dialogue.
