At the reception, the PM hailed the cooperation between the EU Delegation and the Vietnamese side in successfully organizing the “Meet Europe 2018” conference, expressing his hope that the event will help promote cooperation between Vietnamese localities and businesses and partners from the EU.

Mr. Bruno Angelet referred to measures and proposals to boost two sides’ cooperation, including the signing of the EVFTA,  the realization of the EU-Viet Nam Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation (PCA) and the European Commission (EC) giving a “yellow card” warning to Viet Nam's seafood export products to the European Union market.

He expected that the two sides will make efforts in reaching the EVFTA at the end of this year, adding that a working group form the EU visited Viet Nam in 10 days and appraised the nation’s efforts in overcoming illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing situations.

Mr. Bruno Angelet asserted to join hands with the Vietnamese sides to tackle the IUU fishing issues.

Viet Nam will continue launching measures such as closely monitoring fishing ships entering and leaving ports, identifying fishing positions of any fishing vessels, providing modern technology for fishing vessels and enhancing communications works for fishermen as well as strictly treating  with IUU fishing behaviors, said PM Phuc.

The Government leader confirmed that Viet Nam will promote cooperation with the EU in realizing the PCA.
