PM receives Cuban Minister of Justice

At the reception, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the Vietnamese Government always supports cooperative activities between Viet Nam and Cuba’s justice ministries, thereby contributing to strengthening the traditional solidarity and all-around cooperation between the two nations.

PM Phuc said he is elated to see Cuba has adopted a new Constitution with important points that further foster the leadership of the Communist Party and boost the country’s socio-economic growth.

He reiterated Viet Nam’s support for Cuba at international forums, especially the United Nations.

Viet Nam will continue to step up cooperation with Cuba and intensify high-level delegation exchanges between the two countries, he said, adding that Viet Nam is willing to support Cuba in economic development as the country has pursued its Doi Moi (renewal) process for over the past three decades and recorded remarkable economic achievements.

In turn, Cuban Minister of Justice Oscar Manuel Silveira Martínez said that he had successful talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, during which the both sides consented to strengthen cooperation in personnel training and computerisation. 

He said the valuable experience of Viet Nam will greatly help his nation in the field of justice././
