At the meeting with newly-appointed Chilean Ambassador to Viet Nam Jaime Chomali Garib, the PM asserted the crucial meaning of Viet Nam and Chile as members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

The effective implementation of the agreement will boost the development of both sides in all spheres, especially economics, trade and investment, he said.

The two-way trade value has increased but do not meet the potentials of the two nations, the PM said, asking to enhance the bilateral trade and investment in the time ahead.

Viet Nam is willing to accelerate the exports of mobile phones to Chile, he affirmed, expecting that the Ambassador will successfully carry out his tenure in Viet Nam.

Mr. Chomali Garib said that Viet Nam is currently the second largest mobile phones provider for Chile and takes the lead in supplying basa fish to Chile, proposing the Vietnamese firms promote investment in Chile.

He expressed his hope that the two sides will establish a mechanism for facilitating the exports of farm products, adding that Chile is concerned about enhancing cooperation with Viet Nam in start-up and space.
