VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng just ratified the Project on developing sustainable rural infrastructure for Northern mountainous provinces.

July 13, 2010 4:47 PM GMT+7

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will be responsible for managing, verifying and ratifying the US $138 million project and coordinating with the relevant localities to implement it on time.

The project aims at removing obstacles against agriculture production and upgrading the key roads in the rural areas there.

On March 26, 2009, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam Nguyễn Văn Bình and Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to Việt Nam Ayumi Konishi signed a non-refundable credit agreement worth of US $1.2 million for the project.

Through the free loan, ADB will help the Vietnamese Government to conduct research and evaluation of the need to improve rural infrastructure works in 15 Northern provinces.

The Government chief also ratified the Project on upgrading the Central Transport General Hospital that totally costs US $15 million.

The portfolios for capacity increasing in bidding inspection and for DVB-T broadcasting station that funded by the World Bank and the Spanish Government respectively were also approved by the PM.
