Addressing the meeting, PM Phuc stressed that the Party and State always attach importance to and highly value the development of the Institute which is a research and post graduate training centre for the mathematics sector in Viet Nam.

Earlier, the third World Academy of Sciences recognized the Institute of Mathematics of Viet Nam as an excellent center among developing countries.

PM Phuc stressed that the country's sciences and technology must integrate and compete with that in other countries, especially regional ones.

The Government chief noticed the importance of overcoming difficulties; attracting the talents in both quality and quantity who are qualified for conducting mathematic research works in favor of socio-economic development.

The PM suggested the institute renovate development models towards integration and efficiency, especially focusing on sectors which transfer knowledge to society; speed up technological applications in production and lives; and improve labor productivity./.
