Addressing the event, the PM affirmed the determination to remove difficulties for the development of organic, high-tech, clean and smart agriculture, with farming production in line with the market demand, eyeing both the domestic market of nearly 100 million people and exports to foreign markets, particularly vegetables, fruits and livestock.

The Government will stand by and create favorable conditions for businesses and cooperatives, including Vingroup’s VinEco Company, to develop high-tech farming, he said, adding that drastic measures will also be taken to protect their legitimate rights and farming product trademarks.

PM Phuc pledged to introduce Viet Nam’s high-tech, high-quality and clean farm produce to the world, informing that Japan recently agreed to consume an additional Vietnamese farm product, red flesh dragon fruit.

According to Vingroup, the VinEco Ha Nam project covers 180 hectares at a cost of nearly VND300 billion (US$13.2 million), including a large-scale field model of about 130 hectares, a five-hectare greenhouse area using Israeli technology and manufacturing support facilities.

The greenhouse No. 1, using Israeli dripping technology, covers an area of 8,300 sq.m and is capable of providing around 150 tons of leafy vegetables per year.

On the 130ha large-scale field model, VinEco Ha Nam will develop nearly 15 key products with a daily capacity of 20-30 tons for domestic and foreign consumption.
