The Project to build a copper exploiting and refining complex at the Sin Quyền-Bát Xát Copper Mine (Lào Cai) consists of 18 bidding packages worth of VND 980 billion totally. Sin Quyền is approved as Vietnam’s first large-scale nonferrous metal complex which can generate jobs for 1,500 laborers and bring about an annual revenue of US$ 28 million. It is expected to gain profit right at the first year of production with an annual estimated profit of US$ 4 million after paying tax.

The Complex is equipped with modern automatic and semiautomatic computer-linked technologies to manage, operate and control technological standards. Especially, its discharges are treated under environmental standards. According to the approved project, the Sin Quyền Complex includes the mining quarter, ore selecting mill and copper refinery. The mining quarter is expected to provide 1-1.2 million tons of bronze ore. The mill can produce 42,000 tons of pure ore (copper content of 25%), 110,000 tons of pure ferrous ore and nearly 20,000 tons of pure sulfur ore. The copper refinery is built in the Tằng Loỏng Industrial Group, about 70 km from the mine. The complex will produce 10,200 tons of bronze, 340 kg of gold (99.95% Au), 145 kg of silver (99.95% Ag), 40,000 tons of sulfuric acid, 113,241 tons of pure ferrous ore (65% Fe) and 19,615 tons of pure pyrite.
