PM meets with APEC heads of delegations

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc separately met with New Zealander PM Jacinda Ardern and Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor on the sidelines of the 26th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Papua New Guinea.

The Vietnamese and New Zealander PMs were unanimous in boosting exchanges of delegations at all levels to promote the comprehensive relations.

PM Phuc recommended New Zealand facilitate Vietnamese exports, especially agricultural ones including mango, dragon fruits, and rambutans.

On November 18, PM Phuc met with Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor. 

He affirmed that there are wide doors for the bilateral ties. 

Both sides agreed to diversify relations and facilitate immigration procedures for overseas students and guest workers. 

Hong Kong stands ready to grant scholarship for Vietnamese students. 

 PM Phuc affirmed that Viet Nam stands ready to assist  Hong Kong enterprises to expand operation in Viet Nam especially in such areas as transport service, infrastructure construction, electronic devices, and auxiliary industry.

PM Phuc also encouraged the two sides to  cooperate in urban planning and development, smart city building, and high-tech research./.
