PM Phuc, who is on an official visit to Laos, spoke highly of the efforts made by Vietnamese companies and the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Laos (AVIL) to overcome difficulties, ensure the progress and quality of projects and attain significant achievements in their business production activities in Laos.

He lauded a number of enterprises for proactively restructuring and shifting the production model in line with the market’s conditions and developments, thereby bringing about greater efficiency and contributing actively to the development of Viet Nam-Laos economic relations.

The government leader asked the Vietnamese firms to continue addressing difficulties and mobilizing resources to ensure the progress and quality of the investment projects licensed by both sides.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos was requested to constantly assist and monitor enterprises for the timely removal of any arising obstacles.

PM Phuc suggested that the AVIL and Vietnamese businesses in Laos be more proactive in asking Laos’ authorized agencies to hold direct dialogues with foreign investors so that their recommendations could be listened to and handled.

On the same day, PM Phuc and his Lao counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Crowne Plaza Vientiane Hotel, a facility of cooperation between the Vietnamese businesses and Lao partners. This is considered the first international-level five-star hotel in Laos, which is hoped to contribute significantly to the country’s economic development.
