The two PMs agreed to foster the two countries’ key cooperation mechanisms in 2018, particularly the 4th Joint Cabinet meeting and the 3rd meeting of the Joint Trade Committee.

PM Phuc wished that Thailand would successfully host the 8th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and the 9th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Viet Nam (CLMV) Summit.

Thai PM Prayut spoke highly of Viet Nam’s position and role in the region in general and in the ACMECS mechanism in particular, affirming his country expects to strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam.
