The PM welcomed the Czech Senate President’s visit to Viet Nam, saying that the visit is meaningful on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

He proposed the two sides promote cooperation in such areas as economics, trade, investment and tourism as well as expand coordination in terms of education-training, science-technology, energy, agriculture, health, environment, national security and defense.

PM Dung suggested the Czech Republic work to urge the European Union to soon approve the Viet Nam-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA), ink the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement and recognize Viet Nam as a market economy.

The host also expected that the Czech Republic continue to support and facilitate the overseas Vietnamese's operation in the country.

Senate President Milan Stech confirmed that the Czech Republic regards the overseas Vietnamese in the country as part of the nation.

The Czech Republic hopes to further cooperate with Viet Nam in other areas and the two sides will establish and sign some agreements to create legal frameworks for bilateral cooperation.
