PM leaves for APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Papua New Guinea

VGP –PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday left for the 26th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Papua New Guinea at the invitation of PM Peter O’Neill.

He is accompanied by Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung, Permanent Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and Deputy Minister of Industry and trade Tran Quoc Khanh.

APEC 2018, themed “Harnessing Inclusive Opportunities, Embracing the Digital Future,” focuses on three priorities, namely: (i) improve connectivity and deepening regional economic integration, (ii) promoting inclusive and sustainable growth, and (iii) strengthening economic growth through structural reform.

APEC member economies have also focused on implementing outcomes reached during the APEC Viet Nam 2017, especially the envision of the APEC Vision beyond 2020./.
