PM issues ultimatum for ODA disbursement

The meeting, attended by Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh and Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, was convened as the disbursement process remained slow in the first six months.

According to report, the Government determined to disburse US$4.6 billion this year but the disbursed volume in the first half only reached US$1.5 billion, equivalent to 32.6% of the year’s plan.

Participants to the meeting also discussed and agreed on orientations for luring and using ODA and preferential loans in the period 2017-2020, paving the ways for ministries and localities to seek foreign resources./.
