PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc (R) welcomes OFID Director-General Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish at the Government Headquarters in Ha Noi on May 23,2017.

During his reception for OFID Director-General Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish this morning, PM Phuc also spoke highly of the loan agreement signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and the OFID on May 22.

Though Viet Nam has become a middle-income country, many regions are still in great need of investment capital, especially for infrastructure development, the Government chief said.

He called for further cooperation and technical assistance from the OFID through non-refundable aid and access to the Fund’s preferential loans.

As Viet Nam attaches great importance to the development of private economic sector, PM Phuc suggested the OFID create favorable conditions for this sector to access to its resources and assistance.

Director-General Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish said his current visit aims to expand cooperation with Viet Nam in various areas.

He highly appreciated Viet Nam’s efforts to spur the development of private economic sector./.
