PM hails Japan as VN’s top economic partner
VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed Japan as one of the top economic partners of Viet Nam during reception for Special Adviser to Japanese Cabinet Isao Iijima at the Government Office on Friday.

Last year, Japan poured a record of US$9.11 billion in foreign direct investment in Viet Nam, four times higher than that of 2016, ranking top among countries and territories investing in the Southeast Asian country, according to PM Phuc.
A part from trade and investment ties, both sides have also boosted cooperation in many other fields, including cultural exchanges, thus contributing to further enhance mutual understanding of the two nations’ cultures and friendship.
Special Adviser Isao Iijima is on a visit to Viet Nam to attend the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival taking place in the area surrounding the Statute of King Ly Thai To in Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi from March 23-26./.
