PM Dũng also applauded the staff of PetroVietnam for their efforts to fruitfully fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and Government.

The Government chief hoped that the group would take full advantage of capital investment, perfect infrastructure and human resources, diversify fields of business, actively integrate into the world economy, and speed up scientific and technological applications.

PetroVietnam has become one of the leading State-owned enterprises, grasped advanced technology and penetrated into foreign countries with US $110 billion of turnover each year, which accounts for 18-20% of the national GDP. Its export volume is equivalent to 15% of the country’s total while the group contributes 28–30% of the State budget./.
