PM chairs meeting on law establishment

Laws to be discussed at the meeting include the Competition Law (amended), supplements to some articles of the Law on Environmental Protection, the draft Law on special administrative-economic units, a report on the establishment of the Securities Law (amended), a report on the establishment of the Decree on protection of transporting the State’s special goods and a report on the establishment of the Decree on festival management and organization.

A report on proposals of ministries and agencies and suggestions on the establishment of draft laws on amending and supplementing laws relevant to land, construction, housings, investment, business and planning, a report on reviewing, amending and supplementing regulations on the Law on public investment and a report on summarizing and announcing the business and investment conditions proposed by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Central Institute for Economic Management will be mentioned at the meeting.

The Government has made efforts in setting up and submitting to the National Assembly to approve a number of legal documents, said the PM, adding that a lot of shortcomings and obstacles in institutional and legal establishment, however, remain.

The Government organized the meeting on law establishment to address issues on institutional establishment.
