PM chairs meeting on coastal erosion at Central localities

This is the third meeting on coastal erosion chaired by the PM. The two previous meetings focused on coastal erosion situations in the North and South.
According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the central coastal areas include 13 provinces and cities, covering the coast length of 1,649 km and a rive network of 48 big and small river mouths to the East Sea.
As of July 2018, as many as 88 erosion areas with the length of 120km were recorded in the region. Localities expect to receive expenditures for addressing coastal erosion and sedimentation of the coastal and river mouth areas issues, concentrating on 48 urgent erosion areas.
