PM chairs first Gov’t meeting via e-Cabinet system

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc presided over the first Government meeting via the freshly-inaugurated e-Cabinet system on June 24.

The meeting targeted to collect comments on a draft Government’s Resolution on composition of a decree on identify regulations and electronic authentication.

The event witnessed the attendance of 21 out of 27 Government’s members. Absent members followed the meeting online and voted on their mobile phones. 

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) is in charge of crafting the draft Resolution.

The policy targets to forge a legal foundation for management, supply and use of identify regulations and electronic authentication, serve to ensure information security and safety for electronic transactions; raise efficiency of the national portal for e-Services; and e-Government development. 

During the building process, the MoIC collected comments from 29 ministries and agencies, 63 localities, and public opinion via the VGP. The Ministry of Justice gave feedback on the draft resolution. All dossiers were sent to the Government’s members via the e-Cabinet system. 

Minister-Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung reported that all  government members were unanimous with the draft Resolution.

The Government’s members casted the votes via the e-Cabinet in which 25 agreed with the draft Resolution (including 21 voted at the meeting, the rest of four voted online).

PM Phuc recommended the Office of the Government to accomplish procedures, then pressed the bottom to issue the Resolution./.
