PM Dung stressed the importance of infrastructural development as a strategic breakthrough and asked ministries, agencies and localities to analyze achievements, difficulties and shortcomings in the three-year implementation.

Reasons for shortcomings should be thoroughly explained to seek solutions to mobilizing resources for investment in socio-economic infrastructure, bettering planned investment and avoiding wastefulness, PM Dung said.

Ministries, agencies and localities should suggest solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of public investment, boost site clearance and enhance collaboration among ministries, agencies and localities in the implementation, he added.

According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s report, the resolution has been implemented effectively for the past three years, creating big changes in infrastructural development from awareness to practical actions.

Large-scale transportation projects, including the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong, Cau Gie-Ninh Binh, Lien Khuong-Da Lat, Thang Long, Ha Noi - Thai Nguyen, Noi Bai-Lao Cai highways and Terminal 2 of the Noi Bai International Airport, have been completed. Other key transportation projects are also boosted.

Numerous infrastructure projects in energy, irrigation, urban facilities, IT system, education, training, science, technology, health care and the construction of new-style rural areas have been attentively invested./.
