At the working breakfast, PM Phuc, Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith, and Cambodian PM Samdech Techo Hun Sen discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between the three countries, especially in the domain of transport infrastructure connectivity and human resource development.

Viet Nam is ready to assist Laos and Cambodia in workforce training in a bid to narrow development gap with other ASEAN member countries, PM Phuc asserted.

At his meeting with Myanmar President Win Myint, the two leaders expressed their pleasure at the advancement of the two countries’ relations over the past time, underling that the establishment of Viet Nam-Myanmar comprehensive partnership has opened up a new chapter for bilateral cooperatin.

The two leaders agreed to actively deploy the agreements reached during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Myanmar in August 2017 and State Councilor Aung San Suu Kyi’s visit to Viet Nam in April this year.

PM Phuc suggested Myanmar continue facilitating Vietnamese investors’ operations, particularly in such fields like telecommunication, finance-banking, real estate among others in order to contribute to socio-economic development in Myanmar.

Both sides agreed to foster coordination within ASEAN-led mechanisms and other sub-region mechanisms including ACMECS in favor of peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

PM Phuc took the occasion to repeat his invitation to President Win Myint to attend the World Economic Forum on ASEAN in Viet Nam in September and pay an official visit to the country.
