PM bids farewell to out-going Australian Ambassador

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc made that statement on June 25 at his reception for out-going Australian Ambassador Craig Chittick in Ha Noi.

At the meeting, Phuc highly spoke of the Australian Ambassador’s contributions to raising the bilateral trade value over the recent three years with the annual average growth of around 17%.

The Ambassador actively enhanced the two nations’ cooperation in all spheres, not only in politics, diplomacy, economics, security and defense but also e-Government and training, he said.

For his side, Craig Chittick expressed his delight on its support for Viet Nam in all sectors and the fast and sustainable development in the two nations’ relationship.

Regarding the Official Development Assistance (ODA), Australia will realize adjustments to meet demands of Viet Nam such as supporting the establishment of e-Government and training, the Australian Ambassador asserted.

The Vietnamese PM expected that the two nations will promote close coordination at multi-lateral forums, asking the two sides to continue boosting cooperation in education and people-to-people exchange, especially among youth.

Phuc highly valued the ODA provided by Australia for Viet Nam, adding that the loans have been effectively carried out nationwide, contributing to the national development process.

He hoped that Australia will continue providing the ODA for Viet Nam, particularly in key areas.

The same occasion, PM Phuc conveyed his invitation to his Australian counterpart to pay a visit to Viet Nam to discuss ways to deepen the bilateral cooperation.
