The event drew the attendance of leaders from ministries, agencies, localities, business groups and corporations, domestic and foreign investors.

Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Secretary Trieu Tai Vinh said that Ha Giang hopes to cooperate with investors and set up joint ventures to exploit the local potentials in the coming time.

The province is still facing a lot of socio-economic difficulties.

Its abundant potentials and advantages include cultural diversity, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geo-Park  which was recognized as a member of the Global Network of National Geoparks for the 2015-2018 period; Hoang Su Phi terraced fields, Tay Con Linh Mountain, and buckwheat flower festival.

At the conference, the province would introduce a list of 26 licensed investment projects worth over VND 12 trillion.

According to Chairman of the Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son, besides preferential policies on investment, the province will introduce a series of mechanisms and policies which would support investment businesses; encourage border trade economy, production of agricultural commodities, and tourism development.

Specifically, the province would support 50% of business land lease; provide subsidy of VND 15 billion for every medicine production factory; and VND 50 million of product brand name registration, and VND 10 billion for each food processing plant for livestock, and over 2% out of total export turnover at border economic zones./.
