PM asks for ensuring health equipment, material for coping with nCoV

VGP – The Government Office has released a document on the Prime Minister’s direction for ensuring health equipment and materials for containing the spread of novel coronavirus (nCoV) epidemic.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security is tasked for actively launching measures and guaranteeing input materials for production and manufacturing enterprises in charge of providing equipment, materials, chemical and biological products for preventing and controlling nCoV. 

The Ministry of Finance must create favorable conditions for fast procedures for customs clearance of materials and equipment for epidemic prevention. 

Provinces and cities’ People’s Committees have to enhance inspection and guide local enterprises to stabilize production, ensure the supply of health equipments and materials for epidemic prevention and control as well as guarantee the supply and control prices on necessary commodities in case of the spread of the epidemic. 

Earlier on the same day, the Prime Minister has decided to supply five tons of Chloramin B from the national reserves to the Ministry of Health to handle with nCoV.

The Ministry of Health on the afternoon of February 4 confirmed the 10th nCoV patient who had close contact with another friend already tested positive for the virus. 

As of Tuesday afternoon, 56 provinces and localities in Viet Nam have decided to delay reopening of schools at all levels in a bid to contain the virus spread, the Ministry of Education and Training just reported.

As of February 4, two nCoV patients in Viet Nam were discharged from hospital.
